Building a better board book

Challenge
When we were approached by the legal services division of Bisys Fund Services (now Citi Fund Services), one of the top fund administrators in the US, they needed more than simple graphic design support. They needed to find a way to efficiently produce clear, readable quarterly reports for the trustees of their clients – some of the top mutual fund companies in the country.

Solution
We worked with Bisys to understand the needs of their many mutual fund partners and to explore how better information design could make a difference to their board materials.

From there, we designed new reports that were easier to understand and more efficient to produce, improving both the quality and usability of these reports prepared for the trustees of over 30 different mutual fund boards.

We also took on the important job of updating these board book reports each quarter and providing them to Bisys for review, printing and distribution to their clients.

Result
Even after acquisition by financial services giant Citigroup, Inc., the Boston-based legal services team continued to rely on SimpleLogic to efficiently produce top-tier quarterly materials for numerous key clients – a vote of confidence we’re pleased to continue to earn.
