Challenge
How do you make 1.4 million investors happier? Give them a monthly account statement they can actually read and understand!
That’s exactly what we did for the brokerage division of Fiserv, an international provider of information management services that works with 13,000 financial institutions in over 60 countries.
To increase their competitive advantage, Fiserv asked us to simplify the monthly statements they produce for 300 clearing brokers in the US. They wanted a better product that would make their brokers and end customers happy, and something that would serve as a great tool for marketing their services to new clients.
Solution
We redesigned Fiserv’s statements so that they worked for every kind of investor – from long-term mutual fund holders to day traders. The new statements made better use of typesetting and production technology, and they offered users a clear financial summary they could understand at a glance, along with detailed account activity that was clear, logical and easy to understand.
Result
Cost-effective to produce, the new statements combined good looks, efficiency and usability. (Now that’s making a statement.)
