RBC
New forms ease application process
Challenge
The RBC Blue Water Project is an ambitious 10-year program to help protect watersheds and clean drinking water in Canada and around the world.
RBC wanted the application forms for their new grant program to be friendly and straightforward for the user, and wanted it to be easy for RBC to tell whether applicants are credible and whether their projects meet the program’s criteria and will be likely to succeed.
Solution
We met RBC’s needs with an approach that steps applicants through questionnaires organized in meaningful, logical groupings. Supporting sidenotes and information help users understand the questions better so they can give better answers. Key information about eligibility is highlighted in context so it’s not missed, and clear, direct questions drill down to specific details that make it easy to assess applicants’ proposals and gather statistics about the program and applicants.
Result
Application forms don’t protect water, but good forms help improve the chances of getting funding to the people and projects that can.
The Leadership Grant application, for example, was developed in a way that allows RBC and its Advisory Panel to tell whether an applicant is truly a water expert with the skills and experience to see a project through to a successful finish.
We’re thrilled to be part of a program that will improve and protect our watersheds, and help make clean drinking water more accessible to people in need around the globe.
